Thailand tourism: Around 850,000 German guests traveled to Thailand in 2017. This corresponds to an increase of around 1.3 percent compared to the previous year.
Thailand is still one of the most popular holiday destinations in Asia for German tourists. According to a study, almost 850,000 Germans traveled to Thailand last year. As in the previous year, Germany is again in third place in a European comparison, measured by the total number of tourist arrivals from Europe in Thailand. Only England and Russia recorded more guests in Thailand in 2017.
The most popular holiday regions in Thailand include Pattaya, Phuket, Ko Samui and Chiang Mai.
