Thailand entry: “Thailand pass” registration no longer necessary since July 1, 2022. For foreign tourists, simplified entry regulations apply again.

For more than six months, foreign tourists have had to use the so-called Thailand pass via online registration before entering Thailand and upload proof of vaccinations and proof of health insurance here. For Thais, this obligation ceased to apply on June 1, 2022 if they entered Thailand after a stay abroad. And foreign tourists no longer have to use the Thailand pass.

Easier entry into Thailand

Foreign tourists with full Covid-19 vaccination protection now only have to present proof of their full vaccinations when entering Thailand and can then move freely throughout the country without restrictions such as quarantine, app or further corona tests. The previously valid proof of health insurance has also been completely revoked.

Even unvaccinated and not fully vaccinated people can enter Thailand again relatively easily. Provided they have had a corona test (PCR or rapid antigen test) in their country of origin no more than 72 hours before departure and received a negative result. The official test result must be available upon entry and can be in digital or printed form. The evidence is therefore randomly checked.

The new rules apply to entry into Thailand from July 1st, 2022 for travelers from all countries worldwide.
