Good news for everyone planning a holiday in Thailand: Since October 1st, 2022, all corona entry rules have been completely lifted.
With winter fast approaching in Europe, it’s time to start thinking about a winter holiday in the sun. For many travelers, Thailand should now be on the shortlist again, because since October 1, 2022 there have finally been no corona-related rules for foreign tourists. Since July 1, 2022, travel to Thailand has no longer required advance registration via the Thailand pass. And now you no longer have to show a negative corona test when entering Thailand. And a valid vaccination certificate or vaccination card is no longer required for travelers arriving at Bangkok Airport or any other Thai airport from abroad.
Vacation in Thailand without Corona entry rules
Thailand has now returned to normal after more than two years in which there were various entry restrictions and quarantine concepts. Thailand pass, test & go, quarantine hotels and PCR tests upon entry are finally a thing of the past. In addition, the government in Bangkok also lifted the quarantine requirement for mild symptoms on October 1st. If you get Corona in Thailand and only have mild symptoms, all you have to do is wear a mask and keep your distance instead of quarantine. But be careful, this regulation only applies to a mild course. If a foreign tourist in Thailand suffers from severe symptoms, the costs for medical care and quarantine can still be very high. For this reason, the German Foreign Office is currently continuing to warn of quarantine when traveling to Thailand.
